THE RUNAWAYS!

A biopic film of one of THE most influencial all-female rock bands of all-time is in the works and I, for one (and I know Don Betts as well), am extremely excited to see this!

The Runaways are coming to the big screen. Based on a memoir written by Cherie Currie and executive produced by Joan Jett, the story of The Queens of Noise is headed to a movie theater near you.

Unlike most Runaways projects since the breakup of the band, this one has the approval of Joan Jett. Joan has been very protective of her Runaways involvement and thus far has declined to participate in any type of revival, including Vicki Blue's documentary.

But it appears Joan believes in this project and her involvement is good news for Runaways fans.

Here are some photos from the filming of the movie which stars Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie and Kristen Stewart (yes, of Twilight fame) as Joan Jett.
